Barnet Local Authority are consulting on Barnet’s new Youth Strategy (2026-2036), a long-term plan relevant for the whole of the borough’s youth system, including local youth organisations, the Council, schools, young people, and other partners. The strategy aims to establish shared priorities and common aims that will help make Barnet a place where young people, whatever their needs, feel they belong, have safe places to go, trusted adults to turn to, opportunities to build skills, and access to activities they enjoy.
The strategy has been developed in collaboration with the Young Barnet Foundation, and with the participation of young people, youth organisations, schools, council services, parent / carers and other partners across the borough.
The Barnet Youth Strategy is still a draft, and all comments and feedback we receive will be carefully considered and can contribute towards revising and refining it and hopefully towards having a youth strategy for the borough that reflects what is most important and should be delivered for our young people.
