What is the Local Area SEND Inspection in Barnet?
Inspectors from Ofsted and the Care Quality Commission (CQC) will visit Barnet and gather evidence about how effective provision is for children and young people with SEND in the local area. This includes health, education and care services for children and young people aged 0-25 years who have any type of Special Educational Need and/or Disability (SEND) and live in the London Borough of Barnet. A new Inspection Framework was introduced in 2023.
The inspectors want to know about the help and support that children and young people with SEND get. You can tell them by filling in a survey. What you tell them will be treated in confidence.
They want to hear from:
- Parents and carers of a child or young person with SEND
- Children and young people with SEND aged 11-25
- Practitioners working with children or young people with SEND in education, health or care services
The survey will close at 9am on Tuesday 10 November 2026. It is so important that we take the opportunity to share our experiences so please do complete the survey online if you are able to.
